This is the official app of the Matchmaking EIT Manufacturing event.

Next February, the first matchmaking event will be held in San Sebastian as part of the EIT Manufacturing initiative, in which TECNALIA participates forming part of its IMT (Interim Management Team).

The EIT Manufacturing initiative came about with the support of the European Commission to help make the sector more competitive, sustainable and productive. More than 50 companies/partners and technology centres will work together with the aim of making Europe a worldwide reference in manufacturing innovation: it will enable a swifter and more efficient adoption of modern technologies.

The themes will focus on two main aspects:

Fostering the modernisation of industry; to become more agile and flexible, environmental and socially sustainable, contributing to generating quality jobs.
Creating "innovation ecosystems" in which companies, centres, universities and investors interact.
This initiative has its own innovation network in the Basque Country to foster and finance projects related to manufacturing 4.0 in the south-west of Europe. Aernnova, Mondragon Corporation, IK4, ITP and TECNALIA will be responsible for its implementation.

The Basque presence ratifies its commitment and effort in favour of industry. TECNALIA will play a leading role as our colleagues, Rikardo Bueno and Toni Pijoan, have been selected to be on the IMT of EIT-Manufacturing.

Rikardo Bueno will lead the western node, located in the Basque Country, along with Portugal and France. This location has been chosen due to its initial contribution and the strength of our industry and our technological sector, as well as the type of socially developed society.

In the early stage, Toni Pijoan, from TECNALIA Ventures, will lead the developments with the creation of new businesses on a European scale.

Continued use of gps running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
